I have read very few posts about something similar to what I am experiencing, one did say the dealer said his trans was a quart low..
I have about a 500rpm slip when the trans shifts from 4-5, as far as I can tell this only happens when the trans is cold(ambient temp under mid 30s) and seems to happen less as the trans warms up or shifts more. It has been exacerbated by the colder weather for sure.
Have any others had this issue and had it resolved? My truck was built 2/19, I don't know if the shift TSB would apply or not but I don't think it reflects the issue I'm having.

Take it in. Should not slip, could be torque converter, clutches, fluid level...who knows. And as a general rule, transmissions shift firmer when cold and get smoother as they warm up.

Hi jdefoe0424,

Sorry to hear of the trouble you are experiencing with your truck. We kindly recommend having this diagnosed by your dealer as they are in the best position to provide assistance. If you do work with your dealer on this, please be sure to let us know via private message. We are more than happy to provide you with an extra layer of support for that process.

So I did a little experimenting this morning, and it appears that it only occurs on the 4-5 change at 1750 RPM...doesn't do it at 1500 and doesn't do it at 2000...just weird.
Makes it seem more like a TCM programming issue to me than a trans issue.

Has anyone else experienced this?

As far as I can tell, not a known issue on this board. I’d heed Heli’s advice and take it in.

Cheers,
