Gas mileage on 3.6L eTorque?

I'm curious to see what gas mileage others have been getting on their 3.6L eTorque trucks. I only have 2,500 miles on my 2023 Bighorn, but I have been getting around 21 MPG on every tank. After my last Ram, a 2018 Power Wagon that got around 12 MPG, this is an extremely welcome surprise!

Very dependent on your trim level and driving style. My V8 Limited, driven mostly at 75-80mph on the highway, only gets 16mpg. Heavy and fast are not a good combination for gas mileage.

I'm getting around 17 with every tank and about 85% highway, 15% city. About the same as every other Hemi Ram I have owned.

TennVol, I have nearly your same truck (Bighorn, 3.6L eTorque, 4x4 crew cab, 3.21), but it's still completely stock. My driving is nearly 50/50 between highway and city. With e10 fuel, I'm getting right at 20 mpg. With 100% gasoline, I'm getting 22 mpg. Both 87 octane. I'm at 5,200 miles right now.

Before i traded to my truck now... i had a 3.6L and i was averaging 19mpg half city and half highway

my wife's town and country has that v6 it get's around 20mpg i just don't see that doing well in a 4x4 heavy truck......ya got me thinking i need to test drive 1.

Take a nap and hope such thoughts leave your head. The extra hp of the 5.7 v8 is well worth the $400 - $500 extra fuel it will use per year. You will also likely recover the cost of fuel and the Hemi option at resale. At a minimum it will sell much easier as there is not nearly as much demand for a v6 full size pickup.

I agree with you regarding resale in the US, but I live in Panama and here, the 3.6L is considered a huge engine!

i woke up from that nightmare that's why i got the 5.7 without e-torque LOL

Best I've seen was 24 drive on the back roads of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The roads are pretty much flat, I set the cruise control to 58 mph. This was the best the truck has done, on average I get 22-23 mpg on these trips. I am a little disappointed on my trips heading up to the Adirondacks, the fuel mileage on the hilly Interstate 81 takes a hit to around 20-21.

9 min. Commute and sometimes driving to the store so I’m averaging 17.6 mpg 90% city driving. Once a month I drive 1 hour to pick up some supplies for work.

You can see my lifetime fuel economy over 30k+ miles in my sig. Roughly 60/40 mix of highway/city driving.

My 1500 was a porker since I had just about every option except the ORG and skid plates. I also had a retractable tonneau cover on there. No towing and I drive with a light right foot. My best tank was just under 21mpg after a flat roadtrip at speeds in the 60s.

averaged 26.7mpg on my recent trip for supplies.. low 24mpg and high 28mpg
