Have had this 19 Longhorn for 8 days.. 1168 miles . 750 of that was driving home from dealership.. no towing.. and I average 13.3 miles per gallon.. driving on highway averaging 70 to 75 mph.. and then some in town driving.. stock 22 wheels and tires . No mods .

Is this what I'm about to expect?! WTH

Heck, at less than 1K in, I'm getting better mileage than my Tacoma. Almost 18 hand calculated, but sitting at 17 now as I did a bit of towing.

It might get better. I get anywhere between 13 and 17.

For what it's worth I think your mileage will improve as the odometer clicks along. I had mileage in the low 14's for about the first 1,500+/- miles. I've never reset the mileage thing and now at just about 3,000 miles on it my collective average is 20.3 per the computer.

That seems low. Did you reset it yourself? The economy gauge screen is probably better to see what’s happening.

31364 miles on it. I've driven it for 1200 of those miles. I reset the trip a and to b when I bought it

Sorry, the glare made it look like a 5 in the pic.

The drop to 4 cylinders takes a couple thousand miles on the new trucks.

13 is definitely low, it’s showing 420 range, do you have the big tank? Any remote starting or extended idle? Still on winter gas?

Ive got 16k miles and mds is very active. Use your cruise control as much as possible and refrain from remote starting. I'm at 17.6 right now even after many drive thrus and getting down at a store while leaving the wife in the running truck.

I know I'm regretting not going with the 6.2 10 Speed. I'm about to start working everyday again, and I have to pull my trailer everyday.. Not looking forward to seeing the gas mileage pulling my 6x10 enclosed trailer

33 gallon tank
You bought it for the gas mileage?

Steve
I bought it thinking I would get 17-20 on highway.. Not 13.. I was expecting 12-13 when pulling my work trailer, which I'm about to do every day starting tomorrow

Well, 22" wheels are 32" in tire size, not that far off the Rebel's 33" tires. Factor in 3.92 rear axle and you are done with anything resembling good mpg.

If you had the smaller wheels/tires and 3.21 rear axle, you could be in for over 20 mpg on easy highway driving. But your axle ratio and tire package are going to sap mpg.
