Gas fill up fueling the truck

I try different gas pumps true the city and every time I fill the tack is going to spill some gas on the ground if I live the pump stop it self when full.
If I will fill at a very low speed, holding the pump barely open I may have chance not to over spill but even then I have to be rely careful.
I stop by today at Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge dealer in town and I ask if there are any complaints in this regards and they say they never heard about something like that.
I asked if can be anything blocking my fill port or a hose twist and they said to check with Ram to see if are any national inquiries about .
Did any of you experience this spill at the gas pump ?

Mine has splashed out a few times. It depends on the pumps nozzle. The new style fuel tank filler necks without a little door sometimes do that when filling. Nothing you can do but be careful. I'm sure nothing is blocking your filler neck.

Are you inserting the fuel nozzle fully into the filler neck? The nozzle has to be in far enough to open the 2nd flapper in the filler neck.

Some don't fit properly and its happened at stations in NJ where the attendants fill up. Only a few times but I think it's just because the nozzle may have a weird bend that doesn't allow it to be inserted fully.

If it happens in NJ, the gas station attendent is not fully inserting the nozzle, period. NJ does not have a specially bent fuel nozzle. Now there may be some gorilla fisted folks out there that maybe can bend a fuel nozzle, I would not wish to meet nor shake their hand.

I have used nozzles in Alabama and Florida, no fuel spilled.

I figured pumps may have different nozzles based on age of pump...I am careful when i pump so hasn't happened to me. I'll have to watch the attendants more carefully to make sure they are pushing the nozzle all the way in.

Not sure as to how old a pump nozzle is vs the diameter compare to today’s modern units. I do know diesel nozzles are bigger in diameter vs gasoline units.

Yeah me either. I'm sure it's all due to not inserting the nozzle completely. One time when an attendant did it the gas came shooting out like a geyser all over the side of my freshly detailed truck. He then quickly grabbed the window washer and started wiping the side of the truck down until I noticed and grabbed it from him. Of course he left a small scratch that took me hours to work out. Not cool.

The only time I've had gas leave the filler is when I removed the nozzle too soon. I give it a few seconds to drain and haven't had an issue since.
