Gap issues

Just an update here guys. FCA is still being as hard to deal with as possible. They now, nine months later want to send an engineer from the factory out in February to see what went wrong in the assembly of the Truck. I really don't care at this point what went wrong. They know it's wrong, their own dealers have put in writing it's so bad they can't fix it. I could never reccomend anyone buy a Chrysler product again. Their customer support is nothing more then dragging things out so long that hopefully the customer will just go away. Buyers beware. Your old Dodge/Chrysler company is gone and so is any hope of Fiat Corporation doing anything after the sale. By the way, now the headliner is loose, rattleing and falling down and the upper glove box won't open unless you pull it open.. Dealer says both need replacing, but no parts available and no anticipated date it will be so they can't order one. Also now throwing codes saying injector failure. It would be almost funny if it wasn't really happening.

Oh, just so you all know this truck has less then 5,000 miles on it.

That sucks man, you clearly got some basket case. I don't think it represents the brand, but doesn't matter if they one you bought is a giant lemon.

Your best bet is get out of that thing, hopefully a manufacturers buy-back and get something different that will wash the taste out of your mouth.

My rear doors were out a bit. Driver side was worse. I adjusted the striker plate and was able to get the doors to suck in pretty close to perfect. That’s the only info I can give for that issue. I’m sorry you’re dealing with so many problems. My truck has been great other than what I mentioned and rear window/3rd brake light leak

It seems like 100 years ago, but I used to be a mechanic at a Chrysler dealer in the "70s. Besides other mechanicals, I did new car prep. Adjusting doors was part of prep, because it was not uncommon to have a door slightly out of line. That truck would not have left our dealership like that. Back then, we had factory reps in house. If it could not be aligned by the mechanic during prep, the factory would have gotten involved immediately, before that truck was delivered.

Boy have things changed.

Hey all,
Well I got a response from the FCA rep. that spent 20 minutes looking at my truck and one drive around the block. Their response is that they should try to fix the front end body panel issues and the loud rattle noise inside. Their comment on all other issues including doors, tailgate, and wind noise was: It's Same as some other vehicles he looked at so it's acceptable by their standards. Beware before looking to buy a luxury truck for $70,000 from Chrysler, because they have no quality control and will not do anything to resolve an issue. Just say it's acceptable by their standards. Which are proven here to be VERY LOW! FCA has lied to me over and over as well as just kept drawing this out for as long as they can to now say this. Remember, two dealers body shops have put in writing it can't be fixed. Now it's acceptable. If anything else develops I will keep you posted. Frustrated beyond belief and Ready to drive it off a cliff at this point.
