And related to that, I just saw at the store today tactical trailer balls. Apparently a stainless alloy that is much more subdued gray than the usual stuff. Costs more, of course.
Update: I'm not sure if you thought I was joking, but here's Reese's part numbers, information isn't all on their website yet, but available in the usual sizes 7098000, 7098100, and 7098200. They're calling the finish "pewter". Other makers coming with "carbon nickel". Not totally sure it's the same thing, but same idea subdued low-reflection. Y'all with the dark tinted windows, grayed out tail lights, black rims, this is marketing aimed directly at you.
