Fuel mileage while towing camper.

Supposedly when the etorque has the battery fully charged it will speed up the cooling fan on highway runs. Has anyone noticed a difference towing between etorque and non-etorque?

Why would only ET do this? The truck has more than enough power to spin the cooling fans regardless of whether it has ET or not.
