I got my front windows tinted on my 19 ram crew to match my rear privacy glass. The reading on the rear privacy glass was 21%. I’ve always used lumar pinnacle or Stratos. I had a Grand Cherokee and F150 front windows tinted to match the rear privacy glass and they always matched up very well. Today they used 35% and it looks to light to me maybe it’s the panoramic sunroof and angle I’m looking at it. I even told them it’s to light. I guess lumar has currently only 15% or 35% they said 15 would be noticeable darker than the rear. I will upload pictures soon. 773726C4-BAD8-4CAC-83BF-8F9931294A7A.jpeg

35% is to light. 20% is perfect. I still think it needs more. I have 5% on the whole truck and 40% on the windshield. Looks really nice. Just my opinion. Solar gaurd is a quaility alternative to match btw

I got 5% in the front and 18% on the rear over the stock tint to make it as close to 5%. Looks good tho.

I was always told the fronts look lighter due the fact that the front windshield lets so much more light in than the rear seats. Even if exactly the same the front will appear lighter

So I just got my windows done. I went with 35% front, rear, and back windows. That makes the rear pretty much blacked out, and a visible difference with the front. I'm looking for solar protection and a cop friendly setup .

Looks great! I did my front sides to match the back and def prefer that look! I didn't do the front because most of the vehicles I've seen tinted aftermarket have a hard break at the AS1 line that looks horrid. Looks like the transition on yours is pretty clean. What's the law for the windshield in Texas, the AS1 line or is it specified?

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I would like to get the fronts tinted to be closer to the rears, without impacting night vision driving much, any recommendations?

20 to 25% on just the front 2 windows is about right. If you want to make all the windows a little darker then 15% front and 50% added to the rear comes out to nearly the same shade.
