Front Strut with Air Ride Replacement

Has anyone with air ride replaced just the strut on the front and not purchased the entire assembly? If so, does anyone have any tips on how to do it? I want to replace the front struts as my truck has 95k miles but I want to keep air ride. Please let me know when you can. Any help is much appreciated

it has been done i have read a threat about it and seems pretty technical. the guy that documented it had a nice garage with impressive machining tools and got it done. i tried finding the thread but can't seem to find it now

At 80,000 miles I am contemplating shock absorber replacement. it appears that Bilstein does not offer a stock replacement.
My application is 2-wheel drive , all highway, no off-road. So my requirements are: Ride quality, handling, longevity.
Should I go Mopar or is there something better?
