Had all this done on a recent warranty repair. The truck pulls to the right slightly. I called and asked about it and was told I probably need an alignment. I told him why wasn't it done under the warranty repair, and was told the extended warranty doesn't cover this. It is a Mopar EW best one they sell, platinum I think. I told him I cant believe it wouldn't be covered since they had to dismantle everything to do the repair, and it would be unusual for it to be correct after the repair.
Does anyone know if what he says is correct about them not covering an alignment after such a repair ?

nothing that pertains alignment was touched for the repair.
things that require alignment:
changing ride height, changing UCA and LCA only.

Changing front diff, axle, and strut do not qualify for the above.
the shop may have loosen LCA and remove the LCA ball joint to make the process easier, but as long as they marked the LCA mount and alignment tabs and align them properly to the markings, alignment should not be off. i've done similar jobs on various platforms that way without needing alignment at job completion.

so yes, they did not have to cover alignment after such a repair, because things that affect alignment are not changed.

Thanks for the bad news. LOL
sorry :cry::cry:
personally i wouldn't do this but since it looks like you're not wheeling it nor adding performance orientated suspension, you can look into one of those national tire shop chain stores that offer lifetime alignment? I wouldn't do this because simply because our shop has an alignment guy and we use him, and i've heard stories of lifetime alignment places not able to get it right especially with aftermarket suspension systems installed.

but might as well you know.

When I spoke to them the other day they told me they have all new alignment equipment that can check it to see if it's off. So i will wait to bring it in and see what they say. I didn't know that was possible.

"checking" is half way there lol
the sensors will need to be clipped on the wheel and calibrated and compared, which is half way of the job already. making adjustment is the other half. Make sure they don't charge you for checking.
