Looking for some opinions on this. I am about to take my car in tomorrow for PPF and a Ceramic Coat. Looking at my bumper tonight it seems off on the right side between the very bottom and middle piece a little.

I don’t really want to get the work done then have to take it to the dealer since lord know what they would do or heaven forbid have to replace something. Looking for opinions. Does it seem off enough to take into the dealer? If it’s minor I can honestly live with since you really gotta look I’d say. Opinions?

The shadows aren't helping anything - I think that's why it looks off to me. Turn it around and have the sun face the driver's side and post some photos that way lol

Yea it’s way off. That would drive me nuts.

Oh I can see very easy let the dealer know. That's a 60k brand new truck.

Yea I think it is off too. I may still get all my work done then take it into the dealer later.

I would assume it just needs a minor alignment. I doubt they would mess with the Paint Protection Film if they need to adjust it. You can only really notice when look straight on and you gotta zone in on it. From the side you can not tell. I just don’t want to reschedule my stuff for tomorrow. 8807B2F6-2018-4CE5-8DF6-BC151777DAEA.jpeg6F95A2F0-A07B-43E5-997A-D73A2BDBD5C7.jpeg

Align and fit issues are expected by the dealership, take her in and get to know your service manager. Seriously, walk in to his office and shake his hand. He will be your key to good service. The fella that takes your keys (service advisor) is useless unless the service manager ok's your fixes. The body shop manager will also be key, especially in regards to your bumper.

I'm on a first name basis with all 3, 2 managers and advisor over the last 3 years with my 16' Rebel and having that "human" connection has resulted in the best service I've ever seen at a dealership.

Make sure to go over the entire truck for any little squeak or rattle or ding and have them go over it all. My first visit back to the shop I had a typed out list of 12 things to look at.

Honestly I am now confused lol. Everyone look at these new photos. I turned the car around facing the opposite end in my driveway. Before the car was angled down and now it’s facing up. These three photos look perfectly fine to me and no where near as bad.

What say everyone else? Maybe it has something to do with the air suspension and if the car is sitting Level or leaning for down or up perhaps?

That’s odd, looks perfect now. Curious to now why it does that and maybe it is what causes some of the other bumper alignments to be off from other guy’s posts. Could be on to something here.

Yea I’ve texted like 3 buddies and they all say it looks perfect now haha.....

It’s got to be how Level the surface is that the truck is sitting on. Maybe facing the other way in my driveway there is a spot that’s off and the truck flexes a little. These recent photos look perfect and leave me with zero concerns suddenly....

It's become apparent to me that the geometry of the "cheeks" and bumper are odd on the new 2019's. I accept that it's for aerodynamics but I get this same squirrelly feeling looking at a lot of front end pics.
After seeing many real-world photos, I've studied the Ram produced ones and come to the conclusion that their ad/photo folks worked their tails off getting the right angles so it looked "normal".
I'd say if you get great lighting on a level surface and it looks right you're good. Just be prepared to think it's off for a few months while you get used to how the cheeks and bumper don't line up all the way around like you're used to seeing.

Pretty well said. I was freaking out a little since I didn’t want to postpone my detail work since my guy is squeezing me in.

Looking at it now and it looks perfect leads me to believe there is more to it and I can live with that honestly. If it does flex a little depending on the surface the truck is on or if it’s sitting at an angle well that’s not going to bother me or keep me up at night.

lolololol. I'm team #WatchWhereYouPark! Looks perfect...I also read this before you posted the pictures that made it look fine and didn't want to comment/admit a flaw in our Limiteds lol

Well I don’t think it’s totally a flaw if it just flex’s a little depending on the surface it’s parked on. Makes some sense but I’m not going to lose sleep over it.

You were already aware of that though that the bumper will slightly move? I can’t recall reading that elsewhere from anyone else or did you notice it on your own?

One of the first guys that got a 2019 (I believe on this forum) had a front bumper that was legitimately off.

Yea I remember that truck. The silver one with the chrome bumper. He posted on another forum too about it. I don’t think anyone came to this conclusion with his though.

If this is typical though I’m ok with it. Just something to keep in mind but at least it’s not going to bug me anymore thinking my bumper is way off.

I'd say leave it alone, looks fine to me. What if the dealer makes it worse than it is now?

I’m not dealing with a dealer now after I moved the truck and it looks fine.

I’ll mess with it more tomorrow before I take it to the detail shop to see how it reacts on different levels of surface just to test it.
