Looking over the Rambox tracking sheet I was surprised how many Limited's where being ordered; admittedly I would have ordered one too (ok, maybe a Longhorn as I like barn wood...), but need seating for 6 occasionally. My salesmen noted that in the previous generation they could get a front bench (really just a seat rather than console between the two buckets) in any trim level, but noted that right now it appears you can only go as "high" as a Laramie (and then option it up) and no Longhorns or Limiteds are available with bench seats. Does anyone know any differently, and are there really that few upper end trucks sold with bench seats? I'll add I really feel for those of you waiting since earlier this year; it appears when your truck gets built is hit or miss and order date doesn't seem to impact much. Since I ordered July 20th I guess I don't need to sell my current vehicle anytime soon!

Bench seating has always only been available up through the Laramie.

The salesman's comment may have been partially correct. I believe in past years on higher trim Ram 2500/3500s the bench seat was available, but not on 1500s.
