Hi Guys/Girls,
Been around here for a while but traded in my 2019 Hemi Limited for a 2020 Limited with the blackout appearance and EcoDiesel. Other options are 3.92, 33 gallon, sunroof, trailer brake control, tow hitch, anti spin.

I liked my 2019 but the Hemis mileage was getting annoying. I babied the hell out of it and was getting miserable mileage (worse than my previous 6.4L Jeep SRT). I also didn't like the lack of low end torque around town and going up hills. I drive about 35,000km a year and it's 95% highway.

I decided to give the EcoDiesel a try because the incentives are good right now and they offered a decent trade in for my truck. So far in the short drive to my detailer (getting fully detailed, full PPF) I can say I'm very impressed. The torque is immediately evident and it accelerates effortlessly with very little throttle input. It's incredibly smooth and quiet, so much so that when I first started it I had to double check that it was on.

At slow speeds while accelerating you get a hint of diesel clatter but it's very muted and not offensive at all. At cruise it's completely silent and just chugs along. On a short 30 mile drive to the detailer at slower speeds (60-65mph) I was getting 32mpg.

I'll post more driving impressions as time goes on and some more pictures once it's back from the detailer.

Congratulations! I have a crew-cab 4x4 Laramie Longhorn with Ecodiesel and 3.21 rear end. At 1000 miles, first tank was 23 MPG, second tank was 25 MPG, 50-50 city/highway.
.
When you say "full PPF", exactly what is getting the treatment, and do you mind saying how much it will cost? I got a quote for $3,400 USD for the works on my truck (front bumper, leading edge of hood, front lights, fender flares, lower body sides, door handle cups).

I'm going full front end, hood, fenders. It's about $2,500 CDN

Thanks. That's fairly close to the quote I got, if I subtract the lower body sides and convert between USD& CAD.
.
Enjoy the new truck!

Seriously awesome truck! Would you be able to post a pic of your payload sticker? Just curious what kind of payload the Eco diesels have when fully loaded!

I don't have a picture because it's at the detailer but I did look.

My previous truck was a 2019 limited with etorque, sunroof, skid plates, 33 gallon, 6'4" bed. It was a fat pig with a payload of 1190.

This EcoDiesel is 1317lbs if my memory serves me correct which I was ok with. A little more usable payload is always nice.

I've read conflicting reports if the EcoDiesel is heavier than the Hemi or not. I'll get a photo once it's back from the detailer to confirm payload.

Couple more photos and a drive update. Compared to the Hemi the diesel I feel drives nicer on the highway hands down. There's a hill on my drive where my old Hemi would have to downshift to 7th every time. Today on that same hill the truck easily held speed in 8th. You can tell there's a lot of low end torque and it really helps with simple acceleration. Both trucks are 3.92.
There's a tiny bit of turbo lag at some points at slower speeds but it's much better than the gen 2 diesel that my dad used to have and doesn't bother me at all.

On my 65 mile drive home today doing about 68mph I was getting 28mpg.

Overall I'm really impressed with the diesel and can't wait to tow and haul stuff.

What an amazing looking truck! And very impressive drive train. I think my next one will be EcoDiesel.
