Ladies and Gents,

I’ve seen a few threads about what Coilovers to go with, building your own kit or going with a preconfigured set up.

I just went the BYO route.
Front: Fox 2.5 Remote Reservoir DSC w/ ICON UCA

Rear: Fox 2.5 w/DSC, Factory coil.
Method 605 NV 20x9 -18 offset
Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12.50x20

Clears the 35s (note I had a RC 3.5 kit prior and had already trimmed for that POS)

-18 offset is perfect for clearance and a clean look that doesn’t sit too aggressive outside of the wheel well.

I purchased the front and rear 2.5s from Accutune off-road in San Diego, they custom tune based of your driving style.

Ride, I don’t remember what factory ride was as I put an RC kit on the week I got it in 2019. Compared to the RC 3.5 it is a much smoother ride (and I am still messing with the DSC settings)

Truck has quite a bit of flex on it and handles well.
I built what was as comparable to the Carli Suspension kit as I could, specifically the only change is the Icon UCA vs the Carli UCA.

Any questions for those of you looking feel free to hit me up.

Nice! Do you know if the fronts are 883-06-166 (2-3”) or 883-06-165 (2”)? The 166s are hard to find now.

The Carli kit includes adjustable end links and brake lines. Did you have to change either of these out with your install?

I’m piecing together a similar kit (overkill for my needs, but I’d rather buy once, cry once). I’ve already ordered the front and rear shocks (rear should arrive next week, front are on back order until at least January).

One change in my plans from yours is a Dobinson rear spring to raise the rear 2”. I want that so I don’t end up nose high with my Retrax cover, rooftop tent and rack, and other camping gear.

166 2-3”

they had 1 set in stock when I got them last month!
I did not have to change these. The Carli system also changes the coil in the rear to a 2 stage coil and it requires the new end links. I opted to not put the rear icon coil in.

Since I plan on putting in a taller spring, I suppose that means I should look into end links. Fortunately, that doesn’t add much to the cost.

Please report back after 15k or so. My fox 2.5s wore the bushings out and started to clunk really bad. But the ride was amazing

It’s the angle, same size as factory and the rough country ones I had on previous to these. Ride quality is amazing and it handles really well on and offroad.
