This is a problem that no one addresses but me apparently. If you have the door handles that unlock your truck buy touch do this and maybe you will have an understanding of what is happening to alot of us.

Park your truck. Lock it. Take the proximity fob far enough way so the truck doesnt sense it. Take a cup of water. Pour it over your door handle without touching the truck. Your dash, radio screen and the lights around both the front and rear usb panels will come on for 30 seconds then turn off. Now imagine this if it was raining and you didnt drive it for a couple days. Over and over. Dead battery.

There is no fix. Have a nice day.

Just tried this, the console lights up with "Push Brake And Push Button To Start" but nothing else comes on.

I work from home and didn't drive by truck for about 3 days while it rained all three days. It started right up on the fourth day without issue.

It might not happen to all years of DT. Mine is a 2020 Limited and I would assume the 2019's do it too.

Same result here with my 2025 RAM Limited. I was getting some low battery voltage readings after 3-4 days of sitting and realized that my key fob was too close to my truck, parked in the garage--I'd go out to the garage and the headlights were on. So I had to relocate the keys farther away in the laundry room. That made a huge difference in saving battery drain. I would like to turn that feature off, but that feature is not available in the vehicle settings that I could find.

My 2020 Limited does this when I wash it, its sat outside without being driven for 3 to 4 days with rain all those days and started right up.
I keep my key fobs in a faraday pouch and turned off the proximity on my 25 because it kept lowering the running boards thinking I was about to get in the truck. There's reports from others that disabled proximity because their office was too close to where they parked their truck and the key fob was waking up the truck repeatedly

Yep, can't be turned off. You could buy a Faraday cage to put the FOB in. That way you can keep it in a more convenient location. Many people do that.

on UC5 trucks you can turn it off. Open the settings menu on the on the display, then go to lights and turn off proximity
