Hey guys newbie here from upstate NY, had my ram since aug couple issue's driving me crazy #1 is the god awfull roar wile backing out of dw on a damp night after truck
sat all night #2 radio surges up and down drives me nuts ( saw a tip on here to press am and fm am fm and it goes away at the time im driving) continues each time i drive it #3 when i have
jus headlights if i turn left or right that side fog light comes on so if im turning right the right fog light comes on. 2019 crew hemi longhorn
traded in 2014 ram for this. so far i love my truck, seems to like 89 better than the 87 sounds like a diesel when i run 87..anyways ive
ben a lurker for months, jus wanted to post these minor issues..

What bugs you about the fog light turning on to aid a turn? I find it helpful as it eliminates a blind spot in the dark.

oh ok so its normal? i thought it was an electrical issue.. thanks for the reply..

Welcome to the community.
The radio has a setting that will boost the volume when driving. Its supposed to be a help when the road noise increases so does your volume. You can access the feature menu and turn it off.

turn fog lights on and it will eliminate that feature. using 87 definitely shouldn't make it ping/detonation must have some **** gas up there...

Noise when you backout after sit over night is know issue and there is TSB about it.

Go Yanks!...2021?

Here you go. If there's a more recent version, I haven't seen it yet.
I purchased the parts kit and installed it myself. It works.
Brakes now as quiet as every other brand of pickup.

Actually, from the manual:

"While operating on gasoline with an octane number of 87,hearing a light knocking sound from the engine is not a causefor concern. However, if the engine is heard making a heavy
knocking sound, see your dealer immediately. Use of gaso-line with an octane number lower than 87 can cause enginefailure and may void or not be covered by the New VehicleLimited Warranty."
