I just changed my fog lights to the Diode Dynamics ones from the halogen fog lights. During the day I can push the fog light button on the headlight switch, but the indicator light on the dash does not come on so my assumption is that the fog lights are not coming on. I leave the headlight switch in auto. Now the other night I was driving and noticed the fog light indicator light was on when it was dark outside. So my question is, can you only turn on the fog lights once its dark outside?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, unless you turn your headlight switch to on or parking lights then you can turn them on when ever you want, but NOT in auto

That makes sense....I thought that might be the case but since I just installed the DD fog lights I was not certain if I goofed something up. Thanks so much.,

If you’re familiar with AlfaOBD or the Tazer, you could use either of those to set the fog lights as the Daytime Running Lights so they could come on during the day with the light switch in the auto or off position.

You can't turn the fogs on by themselves. They need the parking lights to be on or the headlights to be on with them. So turning them on and throwing the dial in the AUTO position has them come on whenever the headlights come on automatically. Or do what MoreOvalteenPlz mentioned.

You guys ROCK.....thats about what I thought but I wanted someone that could spell fog lights better than I could to pipe in. Thanks all for your inputs.
