Hey yall, new guy from kansas. IVe always been a mopar guy, I have a whipple supercharged 2012 Challenger RT with a mansmisson. I am selling my 2014 GMC sierra Denali that i bought just last year, honestly have come to hate the truck over the 30,000 miles ive had it. I bought it in a quick fashion when i was saving up for a rebel, my daily driver broke down and i needed a vehicle, the denali seemed like the best bet with what I could afford in cash (not a fan of taking a loan for vehicles). With selling the truck and current savings im looking at the $35,000 to $45,000 range for a used ram.

I am only 25 and dont have a ton of experience with different vehicles and was wanting some advice on what I should be looking for when buying a ram. Id like to get a 5th gen rebel but those are sort of at the top end of my budget right now. Would also consider a classic or warlock. I can overlook creature comforts like touch screen displays and leather seats with rectal massagers, I dont really care about all that junk. Just need a reliable truck that shifts nice with a V8 and 4wd.

What do yall recommend i watch out for? any common issues?

Welcome! If you only need the basics, a Warlock might be a good fit, as well as fewer ancillaries to break down. Plus, it would be a great jumping off point for mods as you build up "extra" cash. BTW that Challenger sounds like fun

A Warlock is a classic body. I'd look into a BigHorn with the options you want. Should be able to pick up a 2019/20 in your price range. Also, you will want an actual 5th gen. The 5th gens are in the top of the list in customer satisfaction, where as the Classic is low on the list.
