How tall is your overhead door?Have 4inches to spare till tail fin hits garage top.. what lift kit and tires can I get without hitting top?
About 7ft not standard garage heightHow tall is your overhead door?
2 inch level is about it. Last garage had a 7ft and I had a 2inch level on my 14 ram. Made sure next house was at least 8ft and oversized. 18x8 gives plenty of room to open doors etc.About 7ft not standard garage height

Recommended level kit brand?305/55/20 with a 2 inch level works and looks great.
At first I had spacers and they made the truck ride stiff and had a weird squeak over bumps. I then switched to bilstein adjustable struts and it raised it 2.1 inches and the ride was better than stock and super happy. Not sure if bilstein has any available for the new body style yet. IMO I wouldn't get just spacers.Recommended level kit brand?
7' and 8' are both considered "standard height" garage doors. I just renovated my garage and replaced a 6'-6" door with a 7' door. 8' would have looked like a hanger door on our little ranch house. My truck (air suspension and ORG) clears the door easily right now, but I appreciate the reminder to keep this in mind if I were to have the Mopar kit installed.Hoping my 7ft door doesn't cause problems. Picking up truck this week and had Mopar 2" lift installed and just read this. The fin is really my only concern.
The shark fin might rub.Pretty sure I'll be ok, but I'll circle back once I get the truck.
Sorry, I thought I read you put taller tires on. You should be fine.Let's hope not.
Yeah, 7' is really tight for garage door width. A lot of the older homes around here (1920s-'40s) have those narrow garages. Most newer garages have at least one 2-car bay (typically 16-18' door width) and sometimes a third individual or second double bay. Tandem garages seem to be growing in popularity as well, as developers are trying to squeeze houses onto ever-narrower lots.Biggest thing I've scene when looking at houses is the width of single size garage doors. Manufacturers make both 7' wide and 8' Wide as standard and you can get wider but I see a lot of house with 7' doors. Yea you can squeeze a full size truck or suv through a 7' door but it is very tight. I currently have a 8' wide door and I can back through it with my mirrors out with about 2 inches from the mirrors to the door frame.
