First Tow with the Passport Travel Trailer

260 miles. Eastern PA to Virginia. 90% highway. Cruise control at 65. 8.8MPG measured at the pump. Computer said 9MPG but it is always a half gallon or so optimistic.

I thought it did great and I absolutely don't need any more power to tow this setup. The trailer dry is 5200 lbs so loaded up probably around 6000 or so.

The air suspension is great and as you can see in the pic gave me a level setup quite easily.

There was some sway but no worse than I had with my Expedition. Once I settled in I was able to manage it just fine. Braking with this rig is night and day compared to the Expedition. Great stops, very stable.

Very good upgrade, I guess 15 year newer technology makes a difference!

Is that 7 or 8 foot wide? I been researching that size Travel trailer.

Great write up. I travel that I-95 corridor frequently as well.

just got back from a 400 mile trip thru the mts of nothern Pa and only got 11 mpg hc .... oh btw, i was pulling a 7,000 # TT and the GCVW was 14,500 # CAT scaled ... this is a 2018 Passport 2520 RL ... it is 8' wide
