Hello, from central PA. I’ve been on the forum for a few months now but waited to introduce myself until I took delivery. I really appreciate this forum for all the info and help offered by more experienced owners. It’s a great resource.
After some shopping around I ended up going with Mark Dodge. Overall I am pleased with them and would do business there again. @AnthonyRI was extremely helpful in answering questions before I ordered. He wasn’t my salesman but he is the reason I ordered from Mark Dodge. My salesperson was less than helpful (which goes against every other experience I’ve heard about with them) but I’ll leave it at that.
Please learn from this mistake I made. I had the truck transported and dropped off in a public area. When delivered it was sleeting mixed with frozen rain - really miserable weather. I inspected and walked around the truck but didn’t do so thoroughly enough due to the weather. 15 minutes after signing off I opened the MF tailgate and tried to deploy bed step and it fell to the ground. I’m guessing the transport service backed something into it or something. I cannot find any other damage or marring on anything else around it though. I figured if it was hit hard enough to break there should be something else showing signs of damage - there is none. I guess it could have been damaged in transport from the factory to dealer but I’ll most likely never know.

I also discovered a spot on the bed rail cap that was melted from the tie-down strap rubbing. The left rail is the worst, the side has minor rub marks.
I love this truck so far but every time I see that rail cap or try to use the bed step I get pissed off…..mostly at myself for not inspecting closer. I’m not sure what would have happened if I questioned it when delivered though because speaking to the drivers was very difficult in their heavy Russian accent. Even simple English was difficult. I’ll most likely just replace the rail cap as it’s under $50 but it burns my behind to dish out money on a truck with 45 miles on it. TAKE YOUR TIME DURING INSPECTION!
I put a Diamondback tonneau cover on. I have one on my ‘13 F150 and it still keeps everything in my bed dry. Awesome hard cover. These 22" tires and wheels are a joke though. WTH, Stellantis. I wanted to throw on 18s but don’t like any of the other RAM factory wheels didn’t want to stress with caliper clearance so I’m going with 20s. I have 265/60-20 Bridgestone Dueler A/T ascents but am still looking at what wheels to get. (that’s another nightmare store I can tell later). I’m considering Fuel Vector/Ammo/Shok, Icon Rebound, Lock Yosemite, and Raceline 947 Scout.
I do like the truck so far though. Driving is smooth and quiet, plenty of power, and it looks good. I would use Mark Dodge again because of the price, Anthony, and Derek in logistics. Derek was awesome too. I’m not sure I would use a 3rd party transport again. Even with replacing the jacked up parts it’s still cheaper than flying or driving down to LA and back but seeing damage on a new (expensive) truck is infuriating. But to end on a more positive note, this forum is awesome. For the most part, everyone is respectful and the bs bickering seen on a lot of other forums is limited here.
Thanks for having me,
Shawn
