Which gears do you have as I’m running 3.92 and I’m getting about 16mpg.

781 miles with the 3.92 on my Laramie and I'm now up to 18.8 mpg city. It'll get better.

2000lbs in the bed...that is some impressive MPG then. Seems like adaptive cruise works well.

How was the ride with that much weight?

For what it's worth, I've never been able to get nearly the fuel economy in the city with my 2017 5.7 Hemi equipped RAM 1500 as what others have reported. I live in Southern CA and in my area has stop lights or stop signs every other street (sometimes every street). This in combination with the morning commute traffic kills my fuel economy. Local and government has made the traffic conditions worse by removing vehicle lanes and putting in bicycle lanes. In the summer with no school I get around 14mpg but during the school year I get about 12.5 - 13.5 mpg. On the hwy I get between 18 and 22mpg. So the main point I'm trying to make is traffic and the amount of traffic control is in your area can greatly influence your fuel economy.
