First Ram and would like some thoughts.

No trade in. Think I have decided to wait. With both my wife and I working from home we will be ok to get by with one car for a while. That or I'll just ride my motorcycle everywhere :)
Yea that definitely changes the calculus a little. Can't take advantage of any sort of inflated trade in figures.

Sounds like a solid decision since there's no trade in. They make trucks every day so there will be plenty out there when you decide you're ready.

Well, I had planned on buying it and sold my Acadia to Carvana for a great price. But I don’t know, was thinking about over the last couple days and it just didn’t feel right. Part of me felt like I was settling just to get something now. The thought of spending 40k and then the whole time wishing I had something else and then god forbid the used market dropping and losing my behind on getting rid of it.

Side note - selling to Carvana was pretty awesome. Fast, easy, and had money in my bank the day after they picked up the car.

The best time to buy is normally the last two weeks in December. This is when the dealers are pushing to hit their yearly goals witch I would say will be down. With it only being a few months away at this point, it might be worth rolling the dice and waiting. On the other hand, if this it the truck your just have to have and you think the price is worth it, then go ahead and pull the trigger. I would try to do a little homework on the car sights and compare prices and by getting on kelly bluebook and putting all the info in on this truck and seeing what they say the fair market value is and go from there.
