First Problem

I have had my truck for almost a year and have had no problems until now. I have about 5,000 miles and now I noticed my Laramie is leaking oil. It is happening on the passenger side, close to where the filter is housed. Reached up and checked the filter and it is dry, but the cross members below it are wet. I have an appointment with the dealer this week. Has anyone had a similar problem?

When was the last time your oil was changed? If recent, maybe the oil was residue from the last oil change?

Last oil change was about 2 months ago but there continues to be 5 inch spots on my driveway. Dealer mentioned that overtightening of the filter can cause a hairline crack and thus leaking. Hopefully it is something easy like that and a simple solution .
