I just changed out my factory chrome wheels with Nexen tires (pretty well worn) for some alloy wheels from a Laramie with Bridgestone tires. The chromes weighed in at just over 60lbs per corner with the alloys at just over 75lbs per corner. Kind of surprised me that the weight difference was so much. The specs on the tires showed the Bridgestones to be 4 lbs heavier and I'm guessing the Nexens being worn made them another pound or 2 lighter. Has anyone weighed their factory wheels and tires for comparison?
