Hey all, I bought an extended warranty through ally when I bought my truck. I’m now wondering if I can cancel the warranty with ally and purchase a max extended care warranty from stellantis. Anyone ever done something like this

Depends on age of truck and miles to get a factory one. Every additional year old costs more.

It’s a 2021 with 38k miles. Should still be covered under the factory 5yr 60k power train warranty

Good point. I'd also consider how the truck has been for the OP. If a stream of failures then yep, get an ext warranty. If it's been really good, don't bother. Some trucks just do really well, some suck. Component quality varies but crappy stuff often fails early.

It is still covered under powertrain, it’s also covered under emissions as well as corrosion.

However, that’s not how the Max Care is priced out.
It’s time and mileage.
As they both go up, so does the purchase price. The Max care extends “nearly” all components of factory bumper to bumper 3/36 as well as pretty much everything powertrain.

Most of the sponsors here have a calculator to tell you how much, and some give you the option to finance or buy it outright.

Thank you, with my luck as soon as it’s out of warranty something catastrophic will occur. I just purchased the truck last month, seems to be really well taken care of. But I do not want to risk it.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Hopefully one of the sponsors chime in!

I’ll shoot them an email. I guess I need to figure out if I can get out of my contract with ally. Seeing as how I haven’t made a payment to them yet I am thinking I will be able to cancel it.
