Has Ram made any changes to the exhaust system in 22 or 23? My new 2023 Laramie seems slightly louder than my 2021 in a good way. Both Hemi ETorque Laramie trucks. Probably just my perception?

I totally agree.

The 21 I totaled had a great sound. It wasn't real loud while cruising, but hit it and it roared. The 23 I didn't take, you couldn't hear at all. Luck of the draw.

Going from a 2020 Laramie Night Edition to a 2023 Laramie Night Edition. 2023 is louder for sure but not "GT" loud.

Weird, but I thought it was just me. Mine is a tad bit louder on startup, but I don't really hear it while driving or at idle after warmed up.

But, for sure, louder.

I must be odd truck out or just bad ears...I swear my 2020 Rebel was louder than my 2023 Limited.

My 22 Laramie is definitely louder than my 19 BigHorn. Even my dad noticed it.

I did test drive the Limited I ordered, but did not accept. Quiet as a church mouse. 21 Laramie had good sound.

My '22 is louder than the '19 Classic I had. I'm one of the guys that have the GT resonators without having the full GT exhaust.

Interesting, care to share a video? I'd like a little more aggressive sound but don't want to move up to "full GT" levels, I wonder if the mix like on your truck is ideal.

Didn't they remove the center muffler a few years ago? My truck only had the large muffler at the rear axle and then two small resonators. I was told that a few years ago there was a 4th muffler located upstream, just after the catalytic converters, sort of directly under the front passenger seat.

That is the front resonator that has been mentioned more than once.

I am not real familiar with how to tell what you have visually but looking at the exhaust on my 2023 I am guessing the 2 pieces you see are the cat and a single resonator after the cat? Looks like a straight pipe between engine and cat. Never thought to look on my 2021.

I've said before that my 2023 Rebel is noticeably louder than my FIL's 19 or 21 Bighorns were. I find it is also louder than the 2021 Rebel I test drove. I wonder if there was a parts issue / mixup / shortage and they threw on GT mufflers to some early 2023s.

Mine was built 5/12/23 so a late MY 23 build but still noticeably louder than my 21MY

My whisper quiet Limited was built in January.

Haven’t heard a 23 but my 22 was very quiet till I installed the GT exhaust. Both look exactly identical.
