The BD diesel manifolds for 2019-2024 rams. The kit comes with new manifold to head bolts.

Anyone use any thread locker on them, or use a hi temp anti-sieze with copper? If yes in thread locker, which one? I'm sure the bolts get plenty hot, plus the heat cycles.

Factory bolts had thread locker on them. BD does not mention it in their instructions.

Well called BD to ask.

They said no loctite/thread locker needed.

Install and torque to 18 ft lb. Run the truck to get to operating temperature and let cool. Once cool, re-torque manifold bolts.

I used hi temp copper silcone on header bolts for my FFR Cobra when I had it. Use it if you are concerned about the bolts backing out. Also follow BD torque procedure.

Unless you have heads where the exhaust bolt holes go into water jackets, there is no need for any thread sealant or loctite. Torque to spec. Check after first hear cycle and maybe once more a few weeks later.
