I took my 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn 5.7 Hemi E-torque to the dealer today for vibration in the floor, the pedals, and the steering wheel. It seems to be worse when it is cold and when in 4wd auto. The dealer said it is exhaust drone vibration and that it is normal. I have been driving for 25 years and never had a vehicle with this problem. I traded in a 2017 F150 and never once had this problem so I cannot understand how it could be normal. I asked to have a supervisor ride with me in my truck and a new one to see if it does the same. I have an appointment to do that next week. Is this a problem that others have had and is there a known fix?

Is it ECO mode and around 1,800 RPM’s?

If so, yes it seems to be common. Mine does it too. It’s like a right foot massager. Lol

How many miles are on your truck? I too felt the same vibration due to the MDS. It will dissipate over a few thousand miles.

Yes. It does it worse between 1500-2000 rpm

Hi @BHolder,
Sorry to hear about the concerns you're experiencing! I'm glad you've taken the right steps and are getting this addressed by your Ram dealer, though. Please feel free to keep us updated on the status of your vehicle or let us know if you happen to need any additional support while working alongside your dealer. We'd be happy to look into it further for you.

I have the same issue in my 3.6L ram. I have an appointment Monday and a case with FCA Customer Care. It “feels” like exhaust drone at around 1800-2000 RPM but I’m not sure it’s the exhaust. For my truck, the vibration exists in gear under load but not in Neutral/Park...

After 2 FCA Customer Care Cases, I’ve had no luck. Technician acknowledged a problem but in my case told me that I should have bought the HEMI. Poor customer service - stuck with a 50k vehicle that vibrates at every gear shift and when cruising down the highway. Good luck to anyone else that is working through a similar issue.
