Exceeding Payload with Air Suspension

I did that with a yard of decomposed granite. I was easily 400+ pounds over my 1743 payload. But I don’t have air suspension and that was before I installed the Timbrens

2,000 lbs of wood pellets in the back. A little unrelated since I do not have the factory air system. but i do have the 5k airlift bags tho. went 20 miles with it. no issues

Here is the response from Ram Customer Service regarding "Protection Mode".

The "Protection Mode" deactivates the air compressor that operates the air suspension system. If you over load the truck, the system will not continue to try and compensate by adding air. The customer would have to remove some of the payload until the required levels are met.

Found this info. And while finding it I came across a conversation that the air suspension is supposed to accommodate 2000lbs of payload.

Very interesting. Wish it could be confirmed.
I can confirm that it will max out at about that give or take a few pounds.
