We don't. Lead acid battery in the engine bay is the standard 12V battery that basically every vehicle has. That's why this article makes no sense.

“Every 10 years or so” are you getting that from the article? A 10 year lifespan average may be right or maybe wrong but I wouldn’t get stuck on that number if your getting your info from the aforementioned article
