Electronic latch sound

Anyone else hear an electronic latch type of sound when opening the doors on the truck? It also randomly does it when I'm in the garage doing other things. Anyone know what this is, and why it's doing it? Thanks!!!

Yep I get the same noise, even at random times

Might be the emergency brake re-calibrating.

Is it soon after shutting it down? You might hear the hydraulic braking system running it's cycle, which is frequently heard in the dash while sitting in it. It's in another thread.

Not only after just shutting down. It also does it when opening the tailgate or attempting to open the tailgate.

Is the key fob anywhere near the truck when this happens? Do you have air suspension?

There are conversations online about proximity sensors activating and conversations about air ride suspension performing auto leveling. Do a search for noises made by Ram 1500 while not running. There are videos showing these sounds. Maybe you can find one that matches what you are experiencing.
