Ecodiesel tow mode

Hey Guys,

When towing in tow mode the truck holds 7th gear and doesn't go into 8th or it's very rare. But if I shut tow mode off it will shift to 8th. Then if I put it back in tow mode while already in 8th it will stay in 8th.

Is it normal to not going into 8th while in tow mode?

Towing a double snowmobilet trailer at 100-120km/h.

My 2015 would stay in 7th in tow mode. Since my boat is not very heavy, and I don't have hilly ground around here, I didn't use tow mode.

Yes that would be normal. Usually wont go into 8th unless you're at a certain mph/rpm and throttle %.
