Coming up on 500 miles and the truck is telling me that I'm averaging 15.2 miles per gallon. See the pic. I think that's pretty good at this point because the engine and trans aren't really broken in yet and it's my understanding that it takes a couple thousand miles to start achieving the best mileage that the truck is going to get.

Also, does anyone know if these little speaker looking things in the roof on the drivers side and the passenger side are in fact speakers? See the pic. Or maybe microphones? Or may one's a microphone and one's a speaker? I looked thru the manual and didn't find anything about them.

Thanks.

They are mics. 2 front and rear for ANC. The other 2 are for voice operations.

My truck settled in between 1800 and 2200.

Mileage depends on gearing and options (weight)... I'm at over 5K miles and still getting 15 on the highway and 16 in town.
MDS only seems to kick on at speeds under 50 (or downhill)

Thanks, Gondul. I've got the 3.21 rear end so I'm hoping to see an improvement when everything is broken in.

Same rear with a Crew Cab 6’4” bed 40-55 driving in Suburban area I get 19-20. Highway 75-80 I get 18-19 (that’s mostly through mountains).

Those are pretty good numbers. Can't expect much better than that.

I'm at 3950 miles. My MPG started increasing about 500 miles ago. The average hovered around 13.9 for the longest time. Yesterday I posted that my average was up to 15.8, today its at 17.0 MPG. My driving has not changed, the truck certainly has. I was a non-believer early on, but now...apparently there is a break in period for sure.

I think the gas milage will only improve as the weather gets warmer.
