Truck has 9,800 miles, this just started the other day. Only does it at idle when hot. Cold start up is normal. Definitely bringing to dealer, just looking for ideas. Used a stethoscope and can't pinpoint noise. Pulling camper on 1.5 hour drive tomorrow

Hey Yedi,

If you’d like an additional layer of assistance as you work with your dealer for this concern, please do not hesitate to send us a private message. We’re always happy to help.

Yep, sounds like a bearing. Dealer visit for sure.

Sorry about the bad timing though. Go for it and risk trying out roadside assistance? Would stink but would also make a great story in 5 years.

Off to the dealer you go. Hey I noticed you have the same unlocked ac lines plastic clip holder not snapped in

Yup, dropped off tonight. Will update this thread when I get the word. Have a bunch of other things for them to do on it also. Got a nice 19' Classic for a loaner from Enterprise through the dealer.

Well, it's not the E torque unit, it's the water pump making all that noise.

After I researched it looks like a common issue, just hope it's a freak think for only 9300 miles.

All under warranty so whatever. Also had then do an AC performance testz and said 50 some degrees and it passes. Told them that seems high, and they told me some cars are 60 degrees. Really hope RAM gets a fix for this.

Haven't picked the truck up yet, will update with any other findings. Been driving a 19' Classic big Horn around, nice truck but the new 19's are so much more refined.

Good to hear that...a water pump is an easy replacement job, and it’s not altogether surprising that a bad one might be produced here and there. Better to have it happen under warranty than a few years from now!
