E torque alternator.

I just dropped it at local mechanic last night and have opportunity to take back to dealer... if 2nd owner is covered.

Mechanical skills... I do trailer rebuilds and minor motorcycle and outboard repairs. Trucks... just don't have time or patience to learn by trial and error.

Good God my thumb typing is bad...

Thanks to this thread:

I called a local dealer that immediately agreed it was covered. So I pulled it from my mechanic and its at dealer now.

But not before I tried RAM customer care first. I spoke with 4 seperate people, and referenced 8 yr/80 k Emmissions Warranty, and all declined coverage.

Thanks to all comments here I was persistent and found it under warranty!

Anybody not wanting to wait 41 days or 3 months for an mgu replacement, if you have medium high mechanical skils, can perform the $25 bearing replacement. Alternatively any good mechanic can easily do it for you, if you know one. In that case, maybe the labor is $150, maybe more or maybe less.
