"DT" is the model code (or platform) for the 5th generation RAM truck. The previous generation (still in production) is the DS.

You teased my curiosity so I went out and used my google-fu. All Chrysler (now FCA) platforms and bodies are referenced by a 2-letter code. I found a most complete list here:
