Drone from e-torque.

Anyone with the hemi e-torque have a drone sound when coming to a stop at low RPMs? Definately from the engine bay. Wondering if it's the e-torque system or do I need to say something to the dealer.

I can't say I've noticed anything like that. It wouldn't hurt to ask if you're concerned!

I doubt its your e-torque causing it. I am having the same problem with my non e-torque. Its not too loud in the front seat but its pretty loud in the back seat. It sounds like exhaust drone. It always happens when the truck seems to be under load at low (under 1500) rpms.

Do a search on "ANC" Active Noise Cancellation. The Amplifier in the back seat has known to be faulty on a few Rams causing a drone/ booming sound.... I had it happen once but after restarting it went away....

I think I'm having this problem. I'm at 1000 miles. When decelerating or sometimes coasting, my 2019 BigHorn gets very loud. It sounds like it's coming from the gears - not an engine thing. I loaded it up the other day and it was much worse, then went away when I unloaded. But it does happen sometimes with no additional weight. It's a bit scary!

I'm at 1,300 miles and really started hearing this drone out of my etorque. Just took a couple hour drive with my wife and young son in the back seat. She said it was so loud back there.
She wants to go back to a Ford if this doesn't get fixed soon. We take regular family road trips of 6+ hours.

there is a seal on bottom cab to bed . I had loud cabin noise and booming. Since dealer installed. Seems to be fixed. Quiter in cab an booming is gone.
Fyi- when at dealer, they said the lower seal is looking to be a recall coming soon

Sounds familiar, there are many threads on an ANC problem. If the loud humming/droning happens at specific rpms, is repeatable, and goes away if you lower your window by about 2-3” it is likely a common problem with the Active Noise Cancellation system. There is a brand new TSB #08-033-19 the dealership can take care of very quickly, software update... get thee to the service dept asap, keep that family happy.

I have some bad drone in mine at 35-40mph when it goes into ECO mode. I called the dealer and he said that is common, on the etorque. Then he commented that its like the exhaust on a 4 cylinder car and that is why it sounds that way. (hmm, none of my 4 cylinder cars sounded that way....).
