I have a 2020 Limited 4X4 with the Black Package. Came with the standard 285/45R22XL wheels and tires. I purchased a set of the same tires as the Rebel, LT275/70R18. I love the look, but the road noise is awful and seems like it’s always in a lower gear by noise and feel. I have concerns about the dealership and they didn’t recalibrate after changing tires. I know that wider tires will slightly increase the noise and that recalibrating will adjust for speed and fuel.
Any ideas?
Would getting the truck recalibrated change the gear shifting?
Thank you!

So what was the profile diff between the 2 types? Yes the odometer should be calibrated/flashed yet perhaps it didn't need to depending on height. You say you actually got a wider tire than the stock 22's? I'd have thought you went taller/narrower.

The 275/70 r18 is a inch taller than the 285/45 r22 so your speedometer and shift points are off. You definitely need a recalibration. The road noise is from the knobby tread pattern, not much can be done about that

Your speedometer will slightly be off as shown in the table.
Shift points aren't going to be adversely affected.

Rebel tires are noisy, you just gotta get used to it! they are VERY CHUNKY tires. (Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's)

P.S. The Rebel Tires are NOT wider. They are about 3.5% narrower.
and about 3.3% Taller,

yup my Rebel makes road noise...I think a little more in these colder temps...but is what it is. People still comment how quiet the cabin is so it can't be too bad.

The noise is more related to the tires than it is the size.

On my Raptor I had BFG KO2’s and switched to Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They were the exact same size, but the Ridge Grapplers were noticeably louder.

Thank you! Dealership said they couldn’t do the flash and that I had to take it someplace else. Don’t figure?!

Figured the noise would increase, but wasn’t sure of the shift points. Thanks!

There are several tire size calculators available online, so you can compare sizes easily. I use this one...

There's a few ways to achieve new tire size, most people choose the Rough Country calibrator. I went with Hypertech as the rough country wasn't available at the time

Yup, those knobby Goodyears will be noisy. They sure do look good though. I am sure they sound great on a Rebel, where you kind of want the "tire noise". Maybe they turn up the noise cancelling on the Rebel...... If objectionable, you may have to find some quieter all terrains. I am sure you can sell your take offs for a pretty penny used and find some quieter alternatives. The factory Falkens AT3W for the ORP, are very quiet, I have the Falken Rubitreks too for winter and they are silent and great in the snow but I am awaiting an "out of round" replacement which was a painful process but finally resolved. I may try the Goodyear All Terrain Adventure with Kevlar. They seem to be dirt cheap right now (255/70R18 for $116 each after rebate) which will be good for Winter. Also the Michelin LTX 2-MS is under $120 per tire which is a phenomenal price for an all season Michelin product, but not all Terrain. Good luck and report back if you replace them.

Appreciate it, thank you! I will check around
