Does my rearview mirror do something?

My rear view mirror looks like it has a sensor for dimming, but if I look closely there's a ghosted rectangle right in the middle of the mirror that looks like it may be for something. Am I tripping?

Yes it should dim depending on what options you have, I think the ghosted rectangle is the back up camera again depending on your trim level.

It’ll dim but you need to make sure it’s turned on. If you have the 12” screen there’s an option to turn it on in the controls area. Dims both rear view and drives side mirror.

That's what I figured too but nothing appears there.

Try going to controls on the uconnect then mirror. You don't have to have a 12' screen or 12" anything else.
