Display screen bubbling

How do y'all know this? My understanding is the vast majority of LCD screens are a glass sandwich.
You right.
Capacitive are glass - for capacitive touchscreen to work, there is wires manufactured on the glass itself - this up to just recently was possible on glass only so this is why it is glass.

Also LCDs are from glass for the same reason, there are already plastic film LCDs but are pretty new (like flexible amoleds and flexible epaper)

My 2019 Laramie did the same. Dealer replaced under warranty after months and months of waiting for a replacement.

This looks exactly like the glue is melting away.

I wonder if they used a really crappy brand of glue or maybe it didn't have enough time to cure.

Can see the same exact thing if you take a cell phone and run a heat gun on it and pull away the glass from the digitizer and screen.

My wife's 2019 Grand Cherokee had this exact same thing happen to her screen... The dealership swapped it out under warranty...

Yeah I brought mine in and they ordered one to get swapped under warranty also. Wonder if they will honor it if the screen comes in after my warranty is up in December. Although I do have the extended warranty but not sure if the screen is covered through that one.

Can anyone share instructions on replacing the screen (how to remove the surrounding bezel/etc)?

Anyone have the OEM part# for an 8.4" screen?

Looking on ebay prices are all over the place - are these all the same?

First one in only the touch panel, no screen.
2nd one is touch panel with LCD screen.
3rd one is touch panel with screen and frame.

Thanks @MannyN to fix a delamination issue, do I need a new screen or just the touch panel? I guess I'm confused as to which part is laminated to the other. Is the touch panel laminated to the screen so I need those two already in-tact?

There is no lamination between the touch panel and the screen. they are just stacked. If you go with the 2nd one, you can fix the problem. If you take it apart, be careful as the screen and touch panel are usually held together by double sided tape on the edges.
