Display Background color at night

I have 2022 uconnect 5 w/ 8.4 and Nav. I use Android auto and during the night time this displays in black background. All the other screens (music , ect) display with white background same as during the day time. Is there any way to have all the screens display in black background during the night time?

Reach over to the left side of dash, next to headlight switch, and turn the dimmer knob down one click.

Reach over to the left side of dash, next to headlight switch, and turn the dimmer knob down one click.

That dimmer switch (also used for Parade mode) only changes the displays (dash and 8.4 monitor) intensity, not the background color from white to black on monitor.

Figured this out. In the display settings you need to switch to manual and only get your choice of dark or light mode but not both meaning, you can’t program light during day and dark at night. Take your pick. Easy enough to switch back and forth in settings if desired. Unlike Android Auto that automatically runs light background day and dark background night when headlights on.
