Disabling always on power in usb ports

I just did this mod as well. Works perfectly and is really simple. I disconnected the negative terminal on the battery before starting this modification. Keep in mind, after reconnecting the battery it takes a few hours for everything to start working correctly. After reconnecting the battery AC only blew hot air, Sirius wasn’t available, AUTO and SYNC didn’t work on the AC. Couple other weird things. After a couple hours everything calmed down and was back to normal and USBs only had power when the truck was on. Perfect.

I purchased the AAWireless dongle and was having the same issue with my phone continuing to connect to Android Auto when inside my home. I was getting ready to try the fuse F43 hack when I found out that AAWireless has an auto standby setting specifically for this situation. You must install the app to enable the setting. As soon as it detects your phone is no longer connected to Uconnect BT, it goes into standby mode. I just tested it and my phone no longer connects when I am not actively using my truck!!
