Did anyone else get two Dodge Neon dipsticks riveted together to make one long V8 dipstick? What's up with that?

Ha! I was more focused on why two pieces riveted than one long one like every other V8 I've ever owned.

My '03 GMC had a two-section dipstick as well. Maybe it reduces the likelihood of kinking a single piece of metal.

Probably 2 different metal alloys/hardness. A rigid top portion with a more limber tip.
