Dimming Lights

I have this weird thing that keeps happening. My whole interior lights go dim for less than a second. It happens when I drive not when I idle. The engine does not hesitate. It does not affect my driving. It can happen when the engine is cold or hot. it doesn't matter. There is nothing that I am doing that would cause it. It happens on the highway in the city with cruise control on or cruise control off.

Could your headlights be automatically turning on and off? When they are off your dash will be full brightness, when they are on the dash will be what the dimmer is set at.

No the outside lights all stay on. It is just all the lights in the dash.
