Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

Every time I try to test out the Vent button it fails. First it tells me feature cannot be activated while vehicle is on. So I try it again, and it fails, saying battery too low.

I am thinking the same thing... Its going in the shop on Monday morning. They are going to look at Proximity Wake, the batteries (no other battery issues to date) and 2 codes in the system... P05BD Stop-Start Mode Switch Circuit Range/Performance & B2204 ECU Configuration Mismatch. I hope that last one is the cause of the Proximity issues!!

My Proximity Wake Up worked when I first got my truck, but stopped working pretty quickly.

On Day 28 of ownership, both my batteries were totally dead. The dealer replaced both under warranty and the tech said that my PWU had been not working because of a weak battery.

Since they replaced the batteries (1 month ago), my PWU has been working just fine.

I think it only works when the vehicle is off to try and cool it off. Once the truck is running, you don't need that function.

I still don’t have the vent option on mine and I’ve had the truck since February 2025.

With the windows closed? That seems kinda pointless?
I agree -- it does seem pointless. I guess the unicorn is glad I haven't gotten the vent "update" function as I would never use it since I always use my remote start to cool the truck. Why need a vent function? Just a dumb question.

On my '09 RAM 1500, (IIRC) I could press the unlock button twice and hold it down and the front windows would roll down. That was occasionally useful.

I had just assumed the Vent thing on the new trucks was like that. I definitely cannot see a point in having the fan run inside the cab with the engine off and the windows closed (or open, for that matter).

Maybe it is to help if you have pets inside for short periods with the windows cracked. Who knows?
