Diesel Fuel Filter Skid Protection - Ecodiesel Rebel - 2021

I like how easy it is to replace the diesel fuel filter by myself, but is anyone else worried about off-roading and a nice chunk of rock or debris destroying the fuel filter housing?

Anyone have an issue with that? Any DIY skid plate solutions, templates to make one yourself?

I completely agree it's a risk, and damage to it could leave you stranded.

I got this skid plate made for the Ecodisel: Ram 1500 Engine-Transmission Armor Package | Dethloff Mfg

I specifically choose that one because of the way it protects the fuel filter. The piece pictured here sits just below the filter:
