Anyone tow 6000+ lbs with their ED and have a total mileage report for a 26 or 33 Gallon tank? Have a line on a demo with less than 1,000kms on it for almost 20k off msrp and it has a 26 gallon tank. My current hemi with 33 gallon gets 350-400km/tank towing my trailer and don't want to pull the trigger if the 26 and diesel will be less than that.

THANKS

Thanks for the quick reply, with that it seems like I'd actually increase distance with the smaller tank. Might be buying an ED tonight (test drive of a White Night Edition Laramie at 5:30).

I get 14 MPG towing my enclosed trailer with an ATV in the bed. Running the tank low is BAD for the injection pump so I fill up my 26 gallon tank a little early and end up putting 21 gallons back in usually. So, figure just shy of 300 miles per tank.

I wish I had the 33 gallon tank but I wasn't aware it was an option when I went shopping! My bad!

I’m in the same situation, I went from a 121 L (32gallon) tank on my 2011 Outdoorsman 5.7 Hemi to a 98 L (26 gallon) on my 2020 Eco Diesel Rebel, pulling the same enclosed trailer with both truck on the same 400 mile loop, at 60 mph, 9.5 USmpg on the old truck to 15.5 USmpg, so I can go 100 miles further on a tank full with the smaller tank. Both trucks had the 3.92 rear ration towing package, In my case I went from 5 speed transmission to the 8 speed, my new truck pulls this trailer with so much less effort than the truck. I don’t think you will be disappointed with your purchase. What is the rear end ratio on the truck you are looking at?

We tow a 6500 pound travel trailer and get 13-14 MPG. With the 33 gal tank I could go 400 miles without stopping (although I would never cut it that close). Most of our camping is within 4 hours of home, so never having to stop for fuel is nice.

I am looking forward to towing my enclosed trailer up north next month, my old gmc got 25-26l/100km and I’m expecting 15l/100km in the new truck.

My Rebel is very close to yours and I got 15l/100km pulling my enclosed trailer, the trailer is 8’X 16’, as long that I’m not going more than 100 k/h and against a strong head wind. Have a good trip up north.
