Didn't think it would happen to me

Well Hell, Trucks been excellent until this morning. Wife Wants me to pick up a dresser she bought. Started up put in reverse back out put in D and .....nothing. tried messing with it and I noticed no dash at all! Nothing on dash lit up turn signals warning lights etc. turned of restarted probably 10 times nothing. So finally found a sequence that works. After you back up put in P shut off engine. Restart engine and go directly to D and it's fine.... Well no dash lights.
Put on the code reader.... No codes stored. Guess tomorrow drive it to dealer. Huh.....

Ooof... that's an odd one but good on finding the steps to reproduce. Sounds to me like something is loose... might want to check your fuses and such to make sure everything is seated. Other than that... no effin clue.

Ok so it's Thursday and I just got my truck home. There diagnosis had an abbreviation so you'll have to clue me in what it is. IPC was dead.unplug IPC and clear codes Truck working fine 10 mile test drive all ok. If problem happens again may have to replace cluster What's IPC?
