Did Dodge change their warranties regarding etorque??

Thomas.schott reportedly posted a warranty link for his 2019. The 48v battery is not listed, but the control unit is. So battery apparently not covered for 2019

Another poster showed a less detailed warranty description of covered items on his 22 and made a reference to a vip link, but that just says emissions covered 8/80. Battery pack is not mentioned.

Op found a detailed list indicating that as of 22 the battery pack is not included. Seems that until someone comes up with a mopar document listing the battery pack for 22 or later, it seems most likely that the battery pack warranty is 3/36.

Since mopar can argue that batteries are a wear item, it also seems possible they could limit it to 12 mo/12k. A new detailed mopar list for 22 and after could clear this up.

Have a dealer run the lop code for that part at 75k miles using your vin. It will show you if it is covered. As I posted earlier in this post, it will show the coverage

I'm trying to figure out exactly what the warranty is on the Ram etorque system, namely the battery pack. It seems very hard to find exactly what is covered and what isn't.

For the 2019 and 2020 Rams, I found this information, that the etorque system is covered under the Federal Emission Warranty for 8 years / 80,000 miles which includes:

• Belt Driven Hybrid Starter Generator Assembly
• Catalytic Converter
• Powertrain Control Module
• Power Pack Unit - 48 Volts

I am trying to locate this information. I have the dreaded eTorque whine and it needs to go. I called my dealer and they said that my fed emissions was only 3/36k???? I have a 2020. I looked on Mopar for my stuff and see nothing about federal emissions, only for CA. Any thoughts?

Either your dealer is an idiot or misunderstood your question. Federal emissions warranty is 8/80k, there is nothing RAM can do to change that. They can only limit what is part of that warranty. Seeing as the e-torque system is marketed as an emissions device it must be covered

I agree...she said that she pulled my vin and said that she was reading on her page the Federal Emissions was 3/36k. I am going to try a different dealer and see what they come back with. Thanks for the quick response.

Yes, this is great, thanks. This info is not in my manual for some reason...the one in my truck or online. However, finally got a dealer to run the part number against my VIN and they did confirm that this part is covered under the 8/80k. This was the third dealer I called too.
